Job Title Regional Vice President
Description
Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President Operations (Final Mile) of a top 50 transportation provider offering a complete line of expedited & time-definite services, international shipping solutions, product warehousing & inventory management. The final mile division is focused on white glove delivery and driven by an independent contractor model. They service commodities such as furniture, bedding, appliances, fitness equipment and other big and bulky commodities. With 80 locations nationwide, and over 8,000 deliveries per day.
The Regional Vice President-West will be responsible for the overall operational performance and customer satisfaction for the entire region. They will Execute regional office contracts and operating locations with regional responsibility. Implement a competitive market strategy. Control costs to maximize revenue. Oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance of region. Lead a team of Regional Directors and serve as an escalation point. Trouble shoot, and design solutions. Develop talent within the region. Manage overall region workflow.
Background Required:
Manager or Director Level Experience (5 yrs)
P&L Management ($100 million, ability to raise revenue and optimize costs)
Multisite management (Up to 25 locations)
Process improvement
Develop, Execute, and Meet Key Performance Indicators (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)
Staff management, training, and development
Manage workflow
Talent acquisition and retention strategies
Independent contractor model exposure
Negotiations
Interaction with V and C level contacts with clients
Travel: Up to 25%
Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Residence: Work Remote (Must be based in West Coast USA)
Background Preferred (but not required):
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (or similar)
Involvement with National Home Delivery Association (NHDA)
Advanced Degree –MBA
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
